The photovoltaic system has been on the grid in Léogâne since September
A photovoltaic system is supplying a newly founded training centre in Haiti with solar power. The centre covers 2,000 square metres and provides training for mechanics and construction workers. Most of the modules were donated by Centrosolar, a company from Hamburg. Since the training centre opened in Léogâne on the 18 October 2011, the system has been providing power for all the school rooms, offices, teaching and production workshops, the canteen, and a boarding house for external teachers. Centrosolar is therefore making a significant contribution to an efficient power supply and has secured electricity for the training centre, which has 150 students. more >>

Scottsdale, AZ – December 20, 2011—Today, Centrosolar America, a national solar energy manufacturing and services company, headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ and Scout Solar, LLC, a Tempe, Arizona-based solar installer, announce plans to activate solar PV projects at four ‘Valley of the Sun YMCA’ branches. The solar arrays will be installed at YMCA branches in the Tempe, Chris-Town, Ahwatukee, and Scottsdale/Paradise Valley communities.

SolarGen Partners with Centrosolar America to Reduce Installation ‘On-the-Roof’ Time and Reduce Risk of Weather Disruption
Edison, New Jersey–December 12, 2011—Today, New Jersey solar energy installer SolarGen and solar manufacturer Centrosolar America announce the completion of a 102 kW rooftop solar power installation at the Salerno-Duane Infiniti car dealership in Denville, New Jersey.
SolarGen was able to reduce the on-site installation time required to one day from a typical three-week time frame by preassembling the 500 Centrosolar PV panel arrays with the racking systems at their warehouse in Easton, Pennsylvania. Once completed, they hoisted the arrays with cranes onto the car dealership rooftop.
